Rondo Media Strengthens Sport, Digital and Post-Production Teams with Three Key Appointments
Rondo Media has announced three key appointments across its sport, digital and post-production teams, as the Welsh independent production company looks to expand its output and develop new opportunities across the broadcasting industry.
Gethin Hughes has been appointed Director of Sports Content and will join Rondo later this year. An experienced broadcast director, Gethin has directed coverage of Wales men’s and women’s international football matches and FA Cup fixtures for the BBC. He has also directed and produced coverage of the United Rugby Championship for Premier Sports, S4C, and the BBC.
Gethin will join the senior management team of Rondo’s sport department, helping to develop new opportunities, expand the company’s sport output and build on the success of its established football brand Sgorio.
Rondo has also welcomed Catrin Morris as Digital Content Development Producer, a role focused on developing new content and strategies for digital audiences.
Catrin brings experience across television production, live events and digital projects. Her credits include Channel 4’s Married at First Sight and S4C’s digital series Cymru ar Daith: Ewros y Menywod, which followed Wales’ cultural activities taking place across Switzerland during the Women’s Euros.
Catrin is already leading a team of creatives at Rondo, helping to strengthen the company’s digital offering and develop new opportunities across platforms.
In addition, Louise Sutton has joined Rondo as Post-Production Producer, bringing extensive experience in television post-production. Louise has previously worked at BBC Wales and with teams at Gorilla, Splice and Bad Wolf, where she served as post-production supervisor for Doctor Who.
Her expertise in post-production management and scheduling will help strengthen Rondo’s capacity to deliver high-quality content and attract additional post-production projects.
Rondo also extends its sincere appreciation and best wishes to Seiriol Dawes-Hughes, who has joined S4C as the channel’s new Sports Commissioner after 18 years at Rondo. Seiriol has made an invaluable contribution to the company over the years, and Rondo is delighted to see him take on such a key role in shaping the future of Welsh sports content.
Gareth Williams, Chief Executive of Rondo, said: “This is a particularly exciting time for Rondo. The appointments of Catrin, Gethin and Louise bring new skills and experience to the company, while Seiriol’s success is a testament to the strength of talent that has developed here at Rondo over the years. We look forward with confidence to the opportunities ahead, as we continue to create ambitious, creative, and innovative content for audiences in Wales and beyond.”
With these appointments, Rondo reinforces its commitment to developing top-tier content across television, sports, digital platforms, and new services, ensuring it is well-positioned on the threshold of a new era in broadcasting.
